The risk of corporate data loss and misuse is ever-present. What to do if preventive measures fail, negligent behaviour occurs, or we get fined by a supervisory authority? The maximum fine for non-compliance with the legislation is now €20 million, or 4% of the company's total annual turnover. In addition, most attacks are conducted anonymously, so even the frequent argument 'it cannot happen to us, we are not interesting' is a big mistake. The good news is that the cost of these losses and penalties can be covered by cyber risk insurance!
