Jiří Vaněček has worked in the insurance industry in managerial positions since 1993 and at RESPECT since 2011. He is married and has three daughters. Among his general interests, he lists public transportation, politics, social events and financial markets as his top interests. He is also an avid engineer and motorist, and when he has a spare moment, he is interested in vintage vehicles and ČZ competition motorcycles, military equipment, shooting, various types of motorized self-propelled vehicles and enduro.
