Statement Regarding the Motol University Hospital Case
Recently, some media outlets have published inaccurate information concerning Kether, s.r.o., its managing director RNDr. Jan Mazánek, and an alleged connection to the Motol University Hospital case. Among other things, these reports incorrectly state that Mr. Mazánek served as a managing director of RESPECT, a.s., and contain several other misleading claims.
We understand that such misinformation may raise questions among our colleagues, clients, or insurance partners. Therefore, we would like to provide our official statement regarding this matter.
It is true that RESPECT, a.s. became the sole shareholder of Kether, s.r.o. in the spring of 2024, and that the two companies formally merged in the autumn of 2024 in full compliance with applicable legislation and all relevant regulations. This process was part of our standard acquisition strategy and has no connection to the Motol University Hospital case.
However, Mr. Mazánek has never been a member of the management or an employee of RESPECT, nor has he ever influenced the company’s management.
We kindly ask all employees and partners to approach media reports with maximum caution and objectivity, bearing in mind that additional inaccurate or misleading information may appear. Should you have any questions or inquiries related to this matter, please contact the company’s press office or management.
