RESPECT Supports the 9th Annual Czech Leaders Award Competition
RESPECT, as a partner of the Helas Business Platform and the Czech Leaders Award (OCL) project, supports the most successful purely Czech-owned companies. The competition recognizes businesses that form the backbone of the Czech economy and rank among the country’s most significant employers.
The ninth edition of the Czech Leaders Award (OCL) is open to Czech companies with annual revenues exceeding CZK 200 million and at least 50 employees. The competition highlights successful and transparent Czech companies owned by Czech citizens without foreign capital

In last year’s edition, 142 finalists were selected from 1,815 companies. Together, these companies generated a combined turnover of approximately CZK 128 billion and employed around 21,000 people. Nominations are based on the Cribis Index evaluation by CRIF – Czech Credit Bureau, which serves as the professional guarantor of the project.
A Company as a Family
This year’s motto, “Czech Companies at a Crossroads: A Company as a Family,” reflects the current challenges entrepreneurs face as they search for new directions and strategies. According to analyses, most business owners view their company as a second family, even though truly family-owned businesses represent about 52% of companies within the Helas Business Platform.

The Czech Republic can rely on its long-standing tradition of technical and engineering education, which gives companies access to highly qualified professionals. In addition, our advantageous geographical location strengthens export opportunities and supports development on the international stage. Family businesses also play a major role—they not only strongly support the Czech economy but operate with heart, emphasizing values and a human approach,” says RESPECT CEO Zdeněk Reibl.
Evaluation by an Expert Jury
The expert jury also includes Jan Váňa, Director of Credit Insurance.

As a jury member, I feel responsible for objectively evaluating companies that demonstrate resilience and innovation in a demanding business environment every day. Czech companies stand out not only for their economic strength but also for their human approach and values, which are essential for long-term success.”
Applications for the competition are open until September 18, 2025. The winners will be announced on November 12, 2025. As in previous years, the three best companies in each region and the winners of special categories will be revealed.
