RESPECT, Proud Ambassador of the Minorite Monastery, Invites the Public to the Unique Exhibition *The Story of Christmas*
RESPECT, a proud ambassador of the historic Minorite Monastery of St. James in Prague, warmly invites the public to the unique exhibition “The Story of Christmas,” open until January 20, 2025. The exhibition, introduced during a press conference held in the monastery premises, offers visitors a rare opportunity to explore historical areas that had been closed to the public for over 800 years.
The exhibition guides visitors through the Romanesque cellars, the Gothic cloister, and other unique parts of the monastery complex. It presents traditions connected with the Christmas season, including the story of the first nativity scene, Czech Christmas ornaments, and the history of decorating Christmas trees. The exhibition also features a section dedicated to light installations, which enhance the festive atmosphere.
“It is a great honor for us that our company has become a proud ambassador of the historically significant Minorite Monastery complex in Prague. The monastery is not only an important historical monument but also an inspiring space with the potential to come alive again as a place for meetings, commerce, and culture. Our goal is to support this unique project and help ensure that the monastery remains a symbol connecting history, tradition, and modern entrepreneurship,” said Zdeněk Reibl, founder and CEO of RESPECT.
The Minorite Monastery, whose history dates back to the 13th century, offers not only cultural and historical experiences but also space for social and business activities. The exhibition The Story of Christmas is one of the key projects enabling visitors to experience the beauty of the monastery while connecting with history through the atmosphere of Advent.
“Our company values traditions and heritage, which is why we consider it essential to support projects that contribute to education and the cultural development of our country. Cooperation in the restoration of the Minorite Monastery is an opportunity to help preserve Czech cultural heritage,” added Ing. Adéla Babišová, Director of Communications and Corporate Social Responsibility.
Founded in 1232, the Minorite Monastery is an important part of Czech history and, under the current management of the Helas Business Platform, is gradually transforming into a vibrant cultural, social, and business center. “We appreciate being invited by the Minorite Monastery to design a concept that connects history, the present, and the future in one place—serving the development of culture, social events, and business,” said Helena Kohoutová, founder of the Helas Business Platform, which currently manages the monastery’s historic premises.
As an ambassador of the project, RESPECT contributes to the revitalization and promotion of this historic complex, which represents an important legacy of Czech history and culture. “Our present is the history of the future. It is up to us to leave a legacy we can be proud of,” concluded Zdeněk Reibl.
In addition to providing top-tier insurance brokerage services, RESPECT is committed to supporting projects with a positive social impact. Its involvement in the restoration of the Minorite Monastery represents another step in its mission to help build a proud and culturally rich Czech Republic.
