RESPECT Hosted the Presidium Meeting of the Czech Insurance Brokers Association
RESPECT hosted a regular meeting of the Presidium of the Czech Insurance Brokers Association (AČPM) at the representative premises of its Prague headquarters.
During the meeting, members of the AČPM presidium discussed a number of current issues important to the insurance market. One of the key topics was the ongoing selection process for the position of the association’s Executive Director. Presidium members reviewed candidates who had responded to the public announcement and discussed the profile of the ideal candidate, who should possess not only knowledge of the insurance market and legislation but also the managerial and organizational skills required to lead the association and implement its strategic goals.
Significant attention was also devoted to the final preparations for the prestigious Insurance Company of the Year awards, one of the most important events in the insurance sector, which will take place next week on May 22 in the Congress Hall of the Czech National Bank. Organized by AČPM, the awards are widely recognized as a benchmark of quality and annually recognize the most successful insurance companies in several categories based on evaluations by insurance brokers. The event also highlights the Top 5 insurance brokers according to insurers’ assessments and, together with the Czech Insurance Association, presents the Personality of the Insurance Market award.
“Cooperation within the professional association AČPM is extremely valuable for us. Regular exchange of experience and a coordinated approach to current issues in the insurance market, including legislation, help the entire sector maintain high standards—especially in terms of the quality of services provided to clients,” said Michal Truxa, Vice Chairman of AČPM and Vice Chairman of the Board of RESPECT.
During the meeting, the presidium also discussed upcoming educational events for members, legislative developments in the insurance sector, and other strategic initiatives planned for the coming period.
AČPM was founded in March 1994 and celebrated its 30th anniversary last year. Its main mission is to represent the interests of insurance brokers, promote professionalism and ethics within the industry, and contribute to the development of the insurance market. The association actively communicates with regulators during the legislative process and provides professional support to its members.
RESPECT, which was among the founding members of AČPM, remains a long-standing active member of the association and contributes to shaping the conditions for the insurance brokerage market in the Czech Republic.
