RESPECT Becomes the Main Partner of the Prestigious Forbes Better Czechia 2025 Conference
Insurance broker RESPECT has become the main partner of one of the most prestigious business conferences in the Czech Republic – Forbes Better Czechia 2025. The conference, held in October in Karlovy Vary, brings together leading figures from business, science, politics, and culture each year to explore how the Czech Republic can become a better country.
“For the 32 years we have been on the market, we have realized one fundamental thing— the success of a company cannot be separated from the environment in which it operates. As a family business, we feel responsible not only for our clients but also for the quality of the environment in which we live and do business,” says Zdeněk Reibl, founder and CEO of RESPECT.
“Forbes Better Czechia represents exactly this kind of platform—one where people come together who share the belief that the Czech Republic has the potential to rank among the best countries in the world. This year’s conference will focus on rediscovering confidence, which is essential for becoming a competitive country and a better Czech Republic. The dialogue taking place here helps shape the future of our economy and society as a whole. We want to be part of that conversation and, together with others, ask: What will we look like in ten or twenty years? What kind of country will we pass on to our children? These are questions we seek to answer in every decision we make,” adds Zdeněk Reibl.
Today, the Czech economy faces a number of challenges—from demographic changes and digital transformation to geopolitical uncertainty. One of the most significant is cybersecurity, which is no longer just a technological issue but is becoming a strategic factor in national competitiveness.
For this reason, Josef Majer, a cyber risk insurance expert at RESPECT, will present the latest challenges related to cybersecurity, including new legislation in this area and practical solutions for Czech companies during the conference.
“From November 1, a new Cybersecurity Act will come into effect that will impact approximately 6,000 Czech companies. We are pleased to share our experience on the Forbes Better Czechia platform and help businesses navigate their new obligations. Today, cybersecurity is one of the key areas determining the competitiveness and security of Czech companies,” says Josef Majer.
