RESPECT a Partner of the Family Business Week Platform, Invites You to the Second Regional Meeting of Family Businesses

RESPECT has once again become a partner of the Family Business Week platform this year, which creates a space for owners and representatives of family businesses to meet and share experience. As a company with family roots and more than 32 years of experience in the Czech market, RESPECT supports initiatives that help family enterprises address their specific challenges—from strategic management and succession planning to cooperation with the public sector.

“Family businesses represent the backbone of the Czech economy and carry values that go far beyond the purely economic dimension of business. As a family company ourselves, we share these principles and want to actively contribute to the development of this segment,” says Zdeněk Reibl, founder and CEO of RESPECT.

Following the successful first regional meeting, the second gathering will take place on April 10–11, 2025, at the Prosper Golf Resort in Čeladná. The event is held under the auspices of the Association of Regions of the Czech Republic and the Ministry of Industry and Trade, with the CarTec Group acting as the host family.

The second day’s program will feature two panel discussions focusing on current challenges and opportunities for family businesses. The first panel, titled “Succession and the Family Constitution,” will include Karin and Karel Kadlec from CarTec Group, Šárka Lišková and Petr Chlup from Anglo česká, and David Krajíček from DK Family Office.

The second panel discussion will address “The Role of Family Businesses in Regional Development and Cooperation with Regional Authorities.” Speakers will include Šárka Šimoňáková, First Deputy Governor of the region, Karel Kadlec from CarTec Group, Gevorg Avetisjan from MARLENKA International, and Michal Bělák from Baník Ostrava.

The program will also include test drives, a golf academy led by head coach Gonzalo Sánchez, a workshop on trust and foundation funds in the context of family constitutions, and an evening program featuring wine tasting accompanied by traditional cimbalom music. Participants will also have the opportunity to build valuable connections through networking and share experiences with other family business leaders.

As a partner of this initiative, RESPECT believes that such gatherings make a significant contribution to the exchange of experience and the strengthening of family businesses within the Czech economy.
