Colleagues Completed a First Aid Course

In insurance, we can assess and cover almost any risk. But there are situations where spreadsheets and policies are not enough. That’s why the RESPECT team swapped their desks for hands-on first aid training. After all, the best employee benefit is knowing you can rely on your colleague even in the most critical moments.

When Theory Gives Way to Practice

In our line of work, we encounter the consequences of crisis situations every day, which is why we believe prevention and preparedness are essential—not only in business, but in everyday life as well. For one April afternoon, our Prague headquarters at Budějovická Alej was transformed into a training center. Under the guidance of medical students from the international organization IFMSA, around twenty employees, including colleagues from regional branches, experienced what it feels like to hold a human life in their hands.

The two-hour course focused on emergencies that can happen to any of us—at the office, in the car, or at home—from cardiac events and strokes to severe allergic reactions and choking. A key part of the training was cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) and the use of an automated external defibrillator (AED), which is becoming an increasingly common feature in public spaces.
