For a fall on sidewalk the township is responsible

Responsibility for a condition of sidewalks has switched from owners of contiguous houses to municipality.

Thanks to the amendment to the law you are obliged to seek request for an injury caused by a slippery sidewalk on a municipality. It is different in case a falling icicle hits a pedestrian. For this house owners bear the responsibility. House owners, therefore, can not rejoice at a total lost of responsibility. When snow, frost or released tile, fall from a roof for an injury or damage on, for instance, car, stroller or other property responds the house owner.
